Just a quick (In-Flight) moment to share from my heart to your heart…
First, and most important, YOU ARE SPECIAL…

You are important, you are a precious gift to humankind and you have been a treasure to the readers/viewers of the Sun-Times and to the world. So, friends, be not dismayed—your work, your services to others has not been in vain, and those blind of visions and values cannot diminish your God given services you have provided others. What you have done is similar to planting seeds in rich soil—the hearts, minds and souls of those we have shared with over the years will forever have nutrition and enlightenment. You have implanted richness upon the hearts, souls and spirits of others.

You have been keepers of the PJ Love Spirit, particularly on those days when you were the only one moving, the only one knowing the way, getting there, rising early while others slept, running while others walked, capturing the moments, then sharing those precious timeless treasures. Trust me and know that you have a resume up There.

The Sun-Times did not give you your talents and they cannot take them away. Sure, they can break wings, destroy dreams, but you are given your lives, time and talent to enlighten the people of the world. My friends, you have good spirits, and life will be kind to each of you.

Know that with a puzzle of ten hundred pieces, the mere absence of one piece makes that puzzle incomplete. You are very important to life’s puzzle for Humankind.

Yes, we hurt, we weep, and it is ok to cry. Jesus did. But know that morning follows night; darkness, that the sun always shines above the clouds and in our hearts. You still have good wings, though they are worn, tired, bent and broken, but may you be renewed like the eagle, and allow your life, light and love to get back into orbit.

May I offer you my three ‘F’ words….FAITH ~ FOCUS ~ FLIGHT ~

Be Faithful to life, your dreams, your being, your assignment from The Editor of life itself.

Stay Focused, aware of this precious thing called ‘time’ and prioritize the priorities.

Flight—now spread your wings, reflect on the promises of life, and together we will

KEEP IN FLIGHT~~
I love you~ jhw”

If you're wondering why Carlos Quentin is coming off as the bad guy...

mlboffseason:

He led the league in HBP the last two seasons (23 in 2011; 17 in 2012), averages 26 per 162 games. He’s been hit a total of 115 times in 8 seasons.

For perspective, the all-time leader Don Baylor was hit 257 times in 19 seasons and averaged 19 per 162. I’m old, I meant Biggio (thanks) but he was hit 285 times in 20 seasons and only averaged 16 per 162.

So either pitchers hate him or he’s doing something to get hit.

Doing something to get hit, because he can’t hit? Food for thought.
